The Irish Potato Famine

This was a terrible time for the people of Ireland, but no one stops to think about the potatoes (sob sob). Just look at these living things slowly dying from an airborne fungus.

But we still have to think about the Irish, right? The Irish people suffered for a long time without their main source of food, but don't the potatoes deserve some sympathy too? This month I challenge you to have some sympathy. So when you insult your child about being lazy don't say that they are a sack o' potatoes. Next time you buy groceries don't just chuck your potatoes in the trunk and call it good, make sure you lightly set them in a secure area so they do not rustle around when you are driving. All this may make you think that I am against eating potatoes, right? Well no actually. Every potatoes destiny was either to get baked, boiled, or fried. So don't feel bad next time you have to cook a potato. That was what they were mean't for.
